Happy Days

Sometimes we don't realise how truly great someone is until they are no longer there , and what effect they have had on your own life. We know Liz was great , just try measure that respect and love that was there long before her sad passing. There was no ego with Liz , no falsehood , on a professional level you knew what you were getting .Yet Liz was fiercely private, with little glimmers of her other life coming through , her love of Keith and her boys, her dear dear grandchildren , the ones that who have lost the most..where we have shared so much already ..and what a Grandma she would have made in the future ! I will always cherish the time I worked with Liz , and her team, yet have one wish that in those moments , where we , who worked so closely with her , were unable to offer her our support , to hold out that hand of friendship ...yet we knew that was the Liz we came to love .No questions asked... She knew fine well it was there .. Liz had strength , humility and humour , and for one who shunned the spotlight will not have realised how glad we were just to stand in her shadow ! She would hate all this focus , and can hear that coughing laugh echo as I type ! Happy Days.... Mike Nagle
